- "Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, 'Where have I gone wrong?' Then a voice says to me, 'This is going to take more than one night.'" - Charlie Brown, the peanuts
- "When we lose one we love, our bitterest tears are called forth by the memory of hours when we loved not enough." -Maurice Maeterlinck
- "I would sooner live in a cottage and wonder at everything than live in a castle and wonder at nothing!"- Joan Winmill Brown, Actress
Oh, my Golly. This quote is amazing. This is how I live my life- I wonder and marvel at how everything would be if this were true, I always perfer my Christmas and Birthday presents before I open them, because they could be anything! It's why I read books and love them so much. I can always imagine the characters (I hate it when they make movies out of my beloved books and the people are all wrong), the setting (same complaint as before), how this woman sound or waves her arms when she talks, just the amazingness of the worlds the author makes up. Same for my writing. I love, love, love to wonder.
- "If you wish to find, you must search. Rarely does a good idea interrupt you."- Jim Rohn, Speaker and Author
This is the most accurate quote about writing that I have yet to find (It figures that this guy is an author). Writing and imagining a new world and its inhabitants, motivations, plots, setting, your main characters, their conflicts and strengths, weaknesses too- all are hard work to come up with. If anyone ever asks me 'how I do it' I'll honestly say 'hard work.'
